What To Expect
Bursitis means “inflammation of the bursa” happens when a small fluid-filled sac (the bursa) that is placed in areas of high friction becomes overused and irritated. Bursitis happens commonly after age 40. Bursitis is a commonly diagnosed injury that occurs around many joints of the body, more common in the shoulder, hip, elbow, and knee. When trauma is the cause of bursitis, a direct blow or fall onto the knee, elbow, hip, or heel may result in damages to the bursa.
Bursitis also can happen during daily activities like using tools more frequently, doing gardening, cooking, and typing for a long time. If someone has bursitis, the affected joint might feel stiff and painful when you press on it or when you try to move.
Expert Treatment
To prevent it, you should avoid repetitive movements, increase activities slowly, and protect joints from pressure by using cushions, pads, splints, and brace while doing any long-time activity. A physiotherapist can guide you to do the proper way of doing activity & gradual progress to exercise. After an assessment, the physiotherapist will give you a treatment plan according to your injury. Treatment can include ice and ultrasound to reduce pain and inflammation.

My 12 years experience with Reza and his team is amazing. I am very happy with their service and treatment. Reza is a very friendly and caring person, on top of that he is an expert with what he does, that’s why I drive all the way from Port Coquitlam to Surrey to go to his physiotherapy.
